Privacy Policy

Version 2026-10-03 · Updated 3 October 2026

This notice covers the Artist Value Index public website, requests to join our waiting list, and optional product updates by email.

Who is responsible for your information?

The data controller is ARTIST VALUE INDEX LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17229166. Our registered office is 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. Contact us about privacy at info@artistvalueindex.com or write to our registered office.

What we collect and why

Our lawful bases

We rely on our legitimate interests in administering requested access, responding to enquiries, keeping the service secure and retaining appropriate evidence of consent or withdrawal. We consider those interests against your rights and expectations. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.

We rely on your consent to send product-update marketing emails, including under the UK rules for electronic marketing. Accepting this notice acknowledges that you have read it; it is separate from marketing consent. Providing an email address and acknowledging the notice are required to process a waiting-list request. Product updates are optional and do not affect eligibility for an invitation.

How to unsubscribe or leave the waiting list

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in product-update emails or by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. We preserve existing email suppression preferences. Unsubscribing from updates does not remove your waiting-list request; email us if you also want to leave the waiting list or request deletion. An invitation or service message is separate from product marketing.

Who processes information for us?

We use service providers to deliver these functions, under appropriate contractual arrangements:

We do not sell your information. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

International processing

Our providers may process information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where a transfer requires safeguards, we use an applicable UK adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data or a copy of them.

How long we keep information

We keep waiting-list records while administering your request and the private rollout. We review continuing need at least every six months and remove records when the request is withdrawn or no longer needed, subject to necessary consent evidence, suppression records and legal obligations. You can ask us to remove your request at any time.

Confirmation links expire after 48 hours. We remove unconfirmed marketing contacts created solely by this signup flow after 30 days, provided they have not acquired another subscription or been activated. Waiting-list membership remains separate. Rate-limit records are removed after two days. Completed integration jobs are removed after 30 days; unresolved failures remain for investigation.

We retain consent and withdrawal evidence while we rely on the permission and for as long afterwards as reasonably needed to demonstrate compliance or resolve a dispute. We retain limited suppression information where needed to honour an unsubscribe. Hosting logs and provider backups follow their applicable retention schedules. Contact us for details or to request erasure.

Cookies and automated decisions

This signup form does not add advertising or analytics cookies. Automated abuse checks and request limits can temporarily reject a request. Waiting-list access is reviewed manually; the signup flow does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. If you cannot join, contact us for help.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability of information you provided, or object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. Contact info@artistvalueindex.com; we may need to verify your identity before responding.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or to your local supervisory authority where applicable. We would welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.

Changes to this notice

We publish changes here with a new version and date. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will provide appropriate additional notice and seek fresh consent where required.
